What reviewers say

The Can has been a deer camp staple for years, and owners on the maker site rate it very highly. We did not find an independent field test. As with any call, results depend on timing in the rut, wind and how hard the deer are hunted. Its big plus is that a beginner or a young hunter can use it right away.

Good

  • No skill needed to sound right
  • Cheap
  • Quiet to carry and use
  • Works across the rut

Not so good

  • One sound only
  • Hard to carry in a small pocket
  • Was sold out at the maker in Oct 2026 (linked to Scheels)

Who it's for

Deer hunters, especially kids and beginners, who want an easy call for the rut. Experienced callers may want a grunt tube with more range of sounds.
