What reviewers say

A Hawaii Nearshore Fishing reviewer compared it with several braids and found eight-strand lines like 832 cast farther, ran quieter and tangled less than four-strand lines. They also saw less fraying on 832 than on another eight-strand braid. Bass forum anglers often call it smoother than PowerPro, though some say its color fades a bit faster. A few store reviewers report fraying or fading over time.

Good

  • Thin and strong for its test
  • Casts smoothly and quietly
  • Good abrasion resistance for braid

Not so good

  • Color fades with use
  • Costs more than basic braid
  • Like all braid, it needs a leader in clear water

Who it's for

Bass, inshore and pike anglers who want a premium all-around braid. Skip it if you fish mostly with light mono setups for panfish.
