What reviewers say

Paddling Light names it its top deck bag pick, mainly because the ZipDry seal keeps gear truly dry, unlike many deck bags whose outer shell leaks. The same review warns that any deck bag raises the deck and can get in the way of a low paddle stroke. Owner reviews on NRS are few and average 3.5 of 5. At nearly $200 it costs far more than most deck bags, and NRS posts a how-to video for opening the ZipDry seal, which is a hint it takes a little learning.

Good

  • Truly waterproof and submersible
  • Clear window for a map or phone
  • Holds a bilge pump on the outside
  • Made in the USA

Not so good

  • Expensive for a deck bag
  • ZipDry seal takes some learning
  • Few owner reviews, middling average
  • Adds height on the deck

Who it's for

Touring kayakers and SUP paddlers who want dry, reachable storage on the deck. Skip it if you paddle short sit-on-tops with open tankwells or want a cheap bag.
